Android 16 is a powerful artificial human featured in the popular anime and manga series Dragon Ball Z. He was created by Dr. Gero (Android 20) as part of his revenge against Goku.
Unlike Androids 17 and 18, Android 16 was designed as a purely artificial being, not based on a human. He is programmed with a pacifistic nature, despite his immense strength. He strongly opposes violence and prefers nature.
Android 16's first appearance is in Dragon Ball Z during the Android Saga. He is initially deactivated but is later awakened by Androids 17 and 18. His primary programming is to kill Goku, but he struggles with this directive due to his gentle nature.
